Crews, finishers and estimators
Greer Concrete Co. books concrete work across Greenville and Spartanburg counties for independent local crews. The questions below cover how to get involved.
Who actually employs the crews?
The independent concrete contractors that perform the jobs booked through this site. Each runs its own crew. There are two routes in: as a contractor receiving booked estimates, or as a finisher, form setter, operator or estimator joining one of those crews.
What does a contractor get from the arrangement?
Booked site visits with homeowners and businesses in Greer, Taylors, Duncan, Lyman, Simpsonville, Mauldin, Travelers Rest, Inman and Boiling Springs who have a concrete project and a phone number. Visits go to contractors who keep appointments, write itemized estimates and leave a clean site.
What is checked before a contractor receives work?
A current certificate of general liability and workers' compensation insurance, the South Carolina residential specialty registration or contractor licence where the kind of work requires it, a crew with its own trucks, forms, screeds and compaction equipment, and a record of subgrade preparation on previous jobs.
What crew roles come up?
Finishers who can float, trowel, broom and stamp; form setters who can read a grade stake; skid-steer and plate-compactor operators; a pump operator for tight lots; and estimators who can probe a base, lay out a patio with a homeowner and write a scope that holds. Experience with Piedmont clay, control-joint layout and hot-weather curing counts.
What will a crew ask of an applicant?
Reliable transport to job sites across two counties, your own hand tools, the physical ability to work with wet concrete in Upstate summers, and a clean safety record around saws, mixers and trenches. Contractors additionally carry their own insurance and any registration the work requires.
How do I get in touch?
Email hello@greerconcreteco.com with Contractor or Crew in the subject line, a few sentences about your experience, the towns you can reach, and a phone number. No resume is required to start; a call to (864) 662-6599 works too, and the message is passed to the right people.
Is there a fee?
No fee is charged to any applicant or contractor at any stage. A request for payment to be listed, placed or considered does not come from this business.
