Paying for a driveway, a patio or a wall

Concrete is a once-in-twenty-years purchase that tends to arrive at an awkward time: the builder's driveway failed, the wall started leaning, the new house needs a patio. Here is how people in Greer pay, what financing is available on larger jobs, and what insurance does and does not cover.

How payment works

Smaller jobs such as a repair, a lift or a sealing visit are paid on completion by card, check or bank transfer, at the price written on the estimate. Larger jobs such as a driveway, a patio, a slab or a wall carry a deposit when the job is scheduled, stated on the estimate, with the balance due when the work is finished and you have walked it with the crew. Nothing is charged for the estimate itself.

Financing on larger projects

For driveways, patios, decorative work, slabs and retaining walls we can connect you with third-party home-improvement financing that spreads the cost into fixed monthly payments. The lender, not us, sets approval, rates and terms; ask when the estimate is written and we will include the details alongside the price so you can compare paying outright against paying monthly.

Insurance

Homeowners insurance does not cover concrete that cracked from age, settlement or poor construction, which is most of what we replace. It can cover sudden damage from a covered event such as a fallen tree, a vehicle or a burst water line, less the deductible. If you think a claim applies, photograph the damage before anything is touched; we provide a dated, itemized estimate and photos when an adjuster needs them.

Builders and new homes

If your home is new and the builder's driveway or walk has failed, check whether the builder's warranty still covers flatwork; some do for a year, many exclude it. We can write a short condition report with photos for a warranty claim, and we price the replacement either way.

HOA requirements

Some Greer subdivisions require architectural approval for a driveway extension, a new patio or a change of finish. Bring the HOA's guidelines or letter to the estimate and we will price what it asks for and supply the drawing or spec the committee wants.

Phasing a project

A driveway, a walk and a patio do not have to be poured in the same month. We can sequence work so the urgent slab goes first and the rest follows when the budget allows, with the base work for later phases planned now so nothing is dug twice.
