Terms and conditions
The terms that apply to using this website and to concrete work arranged through it.
Current as of October 2026.
Site safety and digging
Concrete work involves excavation, wet concrete, saw-cutting and heavy equipment. Nothing published here is an instruction for carrying out that work. Utility locates are requested before any digging on a job we schedule; a homeowner who digs, cuts or forms on their own property does so at their own risk, and the business accepts no liability for injury or damage arising from work it did not perform.
Who performs the work
Concrete work booked through this site is carried out by independent crews that hold general liability and workers' compensation insurance. South Carolina has no licence specific to concrete contracting. Residential flatwork requires none. Projects that fall under the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission's residential specialty registration, or under the Contractors' Licensing Board's general contractor licence for commercial and large residential work, are performed by a crew holding the registration or licence the project requires.
Payment
Repairs, lifts and sealing visits are paid on completion by card, check or bank transfer. Driveways, patios, slabs and walls carry a deposit at scheduling, stated on the estimate, with the balance due when the work is finished and walked with the crew. A written estimate is not a contract until the customer approves it.
Pricing and estimates
Dollar figures on the service and guide pages are 2026 budgeting ranges for the Upstate drawn from contractor cost guides. They are not offers. The price of any job is the itemized written estimate produced after a site visit, and that estimate is valid for the period printed on it, normally thirty days. If excavation reveals ground conditions the probe did not find, the estimator explains the difference in writing before any additional work is approved.
Permits and inspections
Driveways, patios, walks and small slabs in Greer, Greenville County and Spartanburg County generally need no building permit. Footings for a building and retaining walls above the height the local code sets can require a permit and an inspection, and the estimate names the office involved and lists the fee as its own line. The city's and the counties' current codes govern over anything written here.
Information on this site
Pages on this site describe concrete, Piedmont clay, the Upstate climate and the rules that apply to concrete work in Greer in general terms. They are not an engineering opinion, a soils report, a permit determination or legal advice for a particular property. Codes, fees and agency rules change; the current documents of the City of Greer, Greenville County, Spartanburg County and the State of South Carolina are the final word.
